Come see Scott participate in a panel discussion titled “Density in the Suburbs” on Wednesday at 1:00. The topic will be how to retrofit obsolete single use, suburban development into high density, sustainable development. As the program notes, “suburban communities, particularly those serviced by public transit or located on high accessibility corridors, can help create sustainable places or enhance existing downtowns to provide high quality living, entertainment and social/civic opportunities in high density development that improve access to jobs and reduces reliance on automobiles.” It should be a great conversation.

Also, please come celebrate with us at the Awards Luncheon on Thursday, when Lakota will receive an award for the downtown neighborhoods comprehensive plan for Moline IL. More on this exciting award soon!

If you miss us at either of those places, (and if you don’t happen to sit at Becky’s table during the Commissioner Training Program roundtable discussions on Thursday), we’ll have a display in the exhibitor’s area, or you’ll find us in the sessions and at the social functions. See you in Evanston.
