Old Mill Creek Plan and Unified Development Code:
Lakota developed a New Town Plan and innovative Zoning Code for conservation/development of an 8,000-acre horse farm estate and rural municipality in rapidly growing Lake County. The Plan includes a 1,400-acre corporate campus, large residential zones, special retail centers, a village center, and an 1,800-acre open space greenway.  

After completing the Plan, Code, and a 1,000-acre annexation, Lakota became the Village's on-call planning consultant. Activities in this role involved working with the Illinois Department of Transportation to reroute a Strategic Regional Arterial roadway and preparing a neo-traditional design plan for the Village's historic Millburn District.
