Nahant Marsh Master Plan (500 acres):
The 513-acre Nahant Marsh, in Davenport, Iowa, is a unique urban wetland that includes bottomland forest, open water habitat, and a significant marsh. Nearby development, City wastewater and compost facilities, a former gun club, and Interstate 280 have affected its quality. Lakota facilitated a community planning process and prepared a Master Plan for restoration of the area's distinct ecosystems.

The Plan defines buffer zones, interconnected trails/boardwalks, viewing stations for limited public access, and an environmental research center. The Plan is based on Lakota's Mississippi River Corridor Plan that recognized Nahant Marsh as a special recreational and educational asset for the Quad Cities region. The Team included V3 Consultants.
