MOMENCE DOWNTOWN MASTER PLAN WORK PLAN AND SCHEDULE

The process for developing the Downtown Momence Master Plan will involve ten distinct tasks that include the following elements:

  • Assessment and analysis of existing conditions,
  • A visioning phase where preliminary strategies and planning strategies are developed and tested, and
  • A final, plan-making phase in which final planning goals, strategies and implementation steps are determined.
Throughout the plan-making process, a wide range of private sector stakeholders, residents, downtown advocates, and public agency representatives will be engaged through focus groups, interview sessions and public workshops to gain community input, and consensus and support regarding the recommendations and strategies presented in the Downtown Master Plan.

The following is a tentative planning process schedule and is subject to change after the Project Start Meeting and any revisions to the Project Work Plan and Schedule.
