Mississippi River
Corridor Wayfinding and Signage Design:
After preparing a Land Use Plan and Development Principles for the 26-mile Quad Cities Mississippi River Corridor, Lakota prepared a Corridor Wayfinding Plan/Signage Design that
includes kiosks, gateways, historical markers, mile markers, directional
signs, and interpretive signs at key cultural/natural sites. These elements were designed with a "working river" industrial theme to reflect the historic character of the Quad Cities.
Alcoa, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
and the region's communities collaborated with River Action Group and Lakota
to implement the system.
