| The Master Plan for this 90-acre mixed-use development organizes cluster homes, townhomes, rowhomes, condos, and a large retail center within an extensive open space system.
The open space system includes a regional bike trail, town park, neighborhood greenway/commons/greens, paths, traffic circles, gateway entrances, road buffers, and a
plaza near retail. The Landscape Plan was designed to unify the overall site while providing its four housing types and the retail center with separate identities.
Lakota received an Illinois Homebuilder's Association Gold Key Award for the Heatherfield Development.
