< Does The Lakota Group work on projects around the country?

Lakota, based in Chicago, has completed projects throughout the United States, including Illinois, Arizona, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.  Lakota principals John LaMotte and Scott Freres have also completed projects in Pennsylvania and New York, as well as in Germany and Saudi Arabia, at their former firms. Our projects range in scale from small sites to large districts in urban, suburban, and rural setttings.

Lakota is widely recognized as a leader in community participation, process, and facilitation.  Lakota principals John LaMotte and Scott Freres and the Lakota team have conducted numerous community workshops, visioning/strategy sessions, charrettes, and focus groups. 

John, who is a city planner, is also a trained mediator and has served on the board of the Chicago Center for Conflict Resolution.  

Lakota's community relations services include: community mediation; outreach programs; government and media relations; and program/project marketing.
